Positives: Musical Rain was simply the victim of an ill-judged hold-up ride in the opening 10f handicap on Saturday, set far too much to do by his 10lb claimer in a slowly-run race. Perhaps this was due to stamina concerns (she had yet to win beyond 7f) but she certainly picked up really well in the closing stages and this trip looks no problem to her; like many from the Prendergast yard, distance seems not to matter so much...
